Indian start-up ecosystem has been steadily growing with over 5200 start-ups in the country today. India has become the world's third-largest start-up ecosystem, and is projected to cross 10,000 by 2020! This presentation throws light on the healthcare (health-tech) start-up landscape of the country and provides an overview of the funding scenario, government initiatives, start-up hotspots, categorization of start-ups based on service offerings and some interesting examples. Health-tech start-ups in India are primarily service oriented and provide a spectrum of health services ranging from online pharmacy, appointment booking to home diagnostics and home health care. These start-ups have been established to ultimately improve the affordability and accessibility of healthcare in both urban and rural areas of India
